[視角] The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975

當我們說到Mixtape這個字眼時，通常指的是音樂，可能是饒舌歌手取用現成的instrumental歌曲錄製的唱片，或是歌迷將心愛的歌曲自行排序做出的合輯。但在電影《The Black Power Mixtape 1967-1975》裡，Mixtape指的是許多影像片段的集結，在這幾年內Black Power Movement（黑人民權運動）的重要史料。當年拍攝的珍貴影像之中有針對黑豹黨重要成員Huey P. Newton、Angela Davis、Stokely Carmichael、Kathleen Cleaver的訪談，除外導演還特地邀請各界知名黑人人士對此重要歷史事件表達看法，包括老一輩非常熟悉的流行歌手Harry Belafonte、Neo-Soul天后Erykah Badu、饒舌歌手Talib Kweli、詩人Sonia Sanchez。音樂部份則由Questlove與Sa-Ra的Om'Mas Keith負責配樂。
